Naxals attack, one cop injured

Naxals attacked an anti-naxal force team who were combing Mathuvalli village in Sringeri on Tuesday morning.
A constable, Taresh, was injured in the attack and another constable, Jadhav, disappeared mysteriously.
The naxals lobbed grenade at the combing police force and opened fire. The police retaliated at the naxals, said to be 10 armed members.
Senior police officers have rushed to the spot to take stock of the situation.
